Wishing everyone a wonderful start to what will be a fabulous year of growth with lots of upcoming new Members and an interesting array of diverse Merchants with all sorts of goodies to tempt us. As we grow in our closed-loop economy, it will be an exciting journey to bring in our families, friends, and other Vendors to become part of the Shopping Club family.
For those unfamiliar with the term, a closed-loop economy simply means that everything stays pretty much in-house. We receive rewards for sharing this concept with others once they become Members and in turn start to grow a group. This dynamic has been designed and implemented to create a hedge against hyperinflation. Members are committed to purchasing SSC Tokens that grow in value at a minimum of $25 USD per month as part of their savings. These savings will continue to increase in value as more Members join the club. Our new Merchant web-based platform is just adding the finishing touches making it a much more accessible and user-friendly system. Let us know your thoughts once you try it out, and any suggestions are gladly welcomed. Calgary had its first Market Day on January 18th.
A nice size group of us had a late breakfast at "It's All Good" chatting back and forth and getting to know one another.
We then went to the "Fresh and Local Farm Store" with lots of organic foods and interesting products.
The eggs there are out of this world! Our last trip was to Angel's Café for an early dinner or snack, depending upon whether you were staying for the live meeting at
7pm, which was also telecast on Zoom Meeting.
It was certainly a fun day and a great learning experience understanding how to use our eWallets and pay the Merchants with Shopping Coins (SVC). It was just as exciting for the Merchants to see the payment system in progress and how simple, instant, and efficient it all was. Kudos to Kenny and Emily for arranging our first event.
The next one will take place in late spring in a venue where Merchants and Members will showcase their products and services under one roof. It will be exciting to watch other cities grow in Members and begin their own Merchant Market Day!

Toronto is expanding nicely.
There is now a Richmond Hill location for meetings to invite your guests and eventually, the Club will expand into the Mississauga Airport area.

There are phenomenal ways to earn Club Rewards.
First, Members can earn Shopping Coins (SVC) through the Residual Rewards Program when they sign up as a new member.
Members can also purchase extra Shopping Coins (SVC) from the network using their eWallet or from the Merchants that have been
collecting Shopping Coins (SVC) and can 'Top Up' a Member's account by transferring Shopping Coins (SVC) back to their eWallet.
